Wilsons global fame was amplified in 2014 after she signed on to play Alison Lockhart. A troubled, young woman named Alison Lockhart has a dark background and is in the love of Noah Solloway. Wilson received the Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. The show also starred Maura Terney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson told British Vogue: "I love being able to portray characters from two angles." Noah imagines Alison's confident and unresponsible side of sexiness. Yet she views her self in a different manner, as someone who is shy and dowdy in the real world. The actress added: I believe America is morally skewed and judging that everything that happens on the show appears to be a shock. Wilson left the show in shock for fans. But, Wilson was very cryptic regarding the specifics. In an August 2018 interview on CBS This Morning, Wilson stated that she did wish to end the show, however she did not have the right to talk about the reasons behind her departure. Wilson has recently shifted her attention to the world of film. She was in the horror film I Am the Pretty Thing Who Lives in The House in 2016 and then in the sci-fi romance How to Talk to Girls in Parties as the mysterious PT Stella. To add more horror films to the list of credits she has her upcoming film will feature the British film version of The Little Stranger. This supernatural thriller is based off the novel by Sarah Waters. Wilson is the executive producer of the film.
